Wilson School is situated in the central east suburban section of Modesto in Stanislaus County. It is one of the 23 elementary schools in the district and is composed of seven older classrooms built in 1929 and the new ones in the 1950's. Centrally located with a neighborhood of low to middle income homes, the school serves students from preschool through sixth grade.
The aim of Wilson School is to encourage and assist every student to:
- Attain a positive self-image and strive for the highest goals of which each is capable.
- Become a responsible, contributing member of the community.
- Attain knowledge and skills to become an economically productive worker.
- Be physically fit and enjoy a variety of sports activities.
- Develop positive relationships with staff members, family and friends.
