WHEN YOU LAUNCH THE GRADEBOOK SOME ERRORS HAVE BEEN OCCURING:

JAVA ERROR - If you get some type of Java error then you need to email the Help Desk with your computer name so they can remote in and install it.

CERTIFICATE WINDOW - If it shows a certificate question, you need to click the box that says Do this Every time and then click Yes (or allow).

REMEMBER PASSWORD - Please do NOT use the remember password function of Internet Exporer.

If you are having issues logging in and you know that you are using the correct USER ID and PW and are logging into the correct server (K8 vs 9-12), there are two things to check:

• Login Time Out - you may need to refresh or close and relaunch your browser. That often fixes the "Invalid User Name or Password." error.
• Password Remember - If you clicked YES to the prompt for Windows to "Remember the password", it will prevent you from logging in. DO NOT CLICK REMEMBER THIS PASSWORD. If you have, you will need to clear out the stored password by following the steps on this page - CLICK HERE.

There have been many emails sent during the past month related to PowerSchool Premiere training.  Since everything starts with ‘Power’, it can be difficult to determine what it is we’re really referring to!

Hopefully these definitions help clarify the various components of PowerSchool Premiere.

POWERSOURCE - the online training resource that is available to all MCS staff to prepare for the transition to PowerSchool and PowerTeacher.

POWERSCHOOL - Student information system used by office staff, site administrators, registrars, counselors, district office users, etc.  Also referred to as PowerSchool Admin.

POWERTEACHER - Teacher portal for student information, taking attendance, entering lunch counts, and accessing the gradebook
