The Instructional Technology Department of Modesto City Schools believes that in order to be successful in the 21st century workplace, all students, teachers and staff must acquire technology literacy as a means of accessing, processing, evaluating, synthesizing, and disseminating information efficiently and effectively.

OUR MISSION:

The department’s mission is to incorporate technology into the educational and working environment that will:

• provide access to appropriate technology for all students, teachers and staff
• encourage communication within the district and the community as a whole
• develop lifelong learners
• improve faculty and staff productivity while modeling appropriate use of technology
• increase support for emerging instructional strategies
