 Important Announcement Regarding H1N1 Flu

Our District is working closely with Stanislaus County Emergency Operations Center during this event.

Current public health recommendations are that you keep your student(s) at home if they have the following symptoms:

  • fever
  • cough
  • sore throat
  • body aches
  • headache
  • chills
  • fatigue
  • diarrhea
  • vomiting
Call your health care provider if your child has these symptoms. Please call the school to report any flu-like symptoms.

To protect yourself and your family:
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
  • Avoiding touching your mouth, nose and eyes.
  • Avoid close contact with sick people.
Modesto City Schools is in contact with the Stanislaus County Public Health Department and will continue to update this website with any announcements from Dr. John Walker, Public Health Officer.
