The GATE office is responsible for monitoring the three Learning Centers throughout the district. Throughout Modesto City Schools' 23 elementary sites, the GATE office collects referrals, compiles data, and facilitates the screening of hundreds of students per year. Along with the tracking, placing, and monitoring of GATE students, the GATE office also plans staff development and collaboration for GATE teachers, brings in enrichment opportunities for GATE students, and showcases the GATE program to the community. The GATE District Advisory Committee (DAC) is an important component in bringing GATE to the community.
